Long Range Rifle

Course Description

The Strategic Shooting Dynamics Long Range Rifle (LRR) course takes a complex and intimidating subject and breaks it down into smaller pieces of information. Shooters with any level of experience will benefit from this course by increasing their understanding of long range marksmanship fundamentals.

Students will be pushed past the normal comfort zone of carbine ranges (100 to 300 yards) and given the challenge and understanding of getting first rounds hits out to 1000 yards. Course is shot from the prone, so a good shooting mat is highly recommended.  Slings and rear bags for your rifle are not mandatory but strongly encouraged.

The course will provide a general working knowledge of long range marksmanship, environmental factors, judging wind, and using optics in long range applications. Shooting in coaching teams will empower the student to call winds and make corrections for a partner.
